My favourite Irish duo, Hudson Taylor, have released their full-length debut album, Singing For Strangers, in Ireland but now are gearing up to release this masterpiece worldwide on March 30th!  I've been a huge fan of these brothers since they've released their gorgeous EPs that featured the amazing songs like Chasing Rubies, Battles, Weapons and Care, to name a few. The album will contain 21 tracks, including the singles mentioned above! You can pre-order the album now http://hudtay.ht/Iq6Bru!! I was incredibly lucky to manage to ask Harry some questions so we could all get to know these brothers a bit better.

First of all I’ve got to say I’m a big fan and I ADORE all of your songs!
What made you want to follow a music career? Was it always the #1 thing you wanted to do for a living?

Ah thanks a million, glad you enjoy them :D We were doing a lot of busking between the years 2008 and 2011 back home in Dublin and it came to point where we had written a few songs and stopped playing as many covers on the street and started uploading more original songs onto YouTube. Some of the songs were getting a really positive reaction and drove us on to do more and more. It is really fun to play music to/with/for people so I guess that made us consider trying to do it as a career. At some point in 2011 we decided to take a stab at it fully and moved to London. We haven’t looked back since. We were both in Education and in the long term I reckon I would’ve worked in Music in some capacity no matter what and Alfie would have probably work in something hands on like Hairdressing, or cooking etc.

Fans know that you’ve started playing on the streets of Dublin. What made you move to London?

We moved to London when we recognised that the music industry in Europe is mainly based out of London - the nearest hub to Dublin. We moved to London to try and give ourselves the best chance with getting a record deal, playing gigs and also just wanted to get out of our comfort zone to go and write songs :)

As brothers how is it working together? Don’t you ever get tired of one another?

We are best friends really and we're very lucky to get to travel around together and be each-other's support. We don’t fight at all. If anything it makes everything easier being brothers.

Out of the songs you’ve already released/written which means the most to you and why?

A firm favourite of mine is a song called ‘Don’t Tell Me’. It is written about equal rights for Gay, Lesbian and transgender people with respects to Marriage, basically Marriage Equality. It means a lot to us because our sister is a lesbian woman living in Ireland and legally her marriage to her partner doesn’t represent what marriage does for straight people which we don’t think is right. :)

Your debut album, Singing For Strangers, is out now in Ireland and it is #1 on iTunes! CONGRATULATIONS!! How do you feel about being #1?

The support at home in Ireland has been amazing. It’s always lovely to get back there and play. It was really cool to see the album sitting on a shelf in HMV :)

What’s the message you want to share with your music?

We just enjoy writing songs about what’s going on in our lives. So in that sense the songs tend to be quite autobiographical.

I know you’ve played several songs with the amazing Gabrielle Aplin. Are you planning any other special collaborations? Is there an artist/act that you would absolutely love to work with and why?

Well, Gabrielle features on our Album singing our song ‘Beautiful Mistake’ with us. I'm sure we'll continue to have other collaborations into the future... they are really fun :) I would love to work with Damien Rice some day :)
What has been the defining moment of your musical career so far?

So far, probably finishing the album. It was a long time in the making and we’re really proud of where we got to with it :D

If you were given the chance to pick one artist/band to tour with which one would it be and why?

Simon & Garfunkel. They are absolute heroes of ours and big influences :D

Can we expect a live/acoustic album in the near future?

That would be really cool and it’s definitely we’re considering :)

Apart from making awesome music what other secret/special talents do you have?
Alfie is a great cook. I am quite acrobatic, I enjoy jumping on and off large structures from time to time.

Pick one: Taylor Swift / Nicki Minaj / Meghan Trainor

Taylor Swift

Name three things you can’t live without.

Music
Food
Water

If you both got into a fight who would win?

Depends on the day of the week. We’ll give it to Alfie for Saturday, Monday and Wednesday and to Harry for the other 4 days. Jokes on Alfie, I’m writing this interview so that means I get be the winner of the fight :D

If you could be superheroes, what would you want your superpowers to be?

Music Man - the ability to understand and play every instrument ever created

What’s your favourite song of 2014?

Take me to Church - Hozier

You guys can't believe how happy I was when I got the chance to do this Q&A! I adore these guys! Their new single, World Without You, is out on March 27th and you can watch its music video below!
