Introducing: Amy Heffernan

Aqui vos apresento Amy Heffernan, uma cantora canadiana! Ela começou a trabalhar no seu 2º álbum, Being Awesome, em inícios de 2009 e já se encontra disponível no iTunes! Ao ouvir este álbum penso logo em artistas como Avril Lavigne, Pink, Sheryl Crow, entre muitas outras. É um álbum pop/rock bem sólido que nos mostra a sua personalidade como compositora. Being Awesome é a faixa-título e a mais "divertida" do álbum :). Mas como eu adoro temas calmos e tristes tenho que apontar os temas Over Again, I Do, Word, Enemy e Without You como meus favoritos! :) Este álbum revela puramente as vivências de uma pessoa, desde os seus tempos mais alegres aos mais tristes, como por exemplo o final de uma relação (Over Again). O álbum inclui também uma cover de Just Dance de Lady Gaga! Sem dúvida uma artista a ter em conta!!!

Here I introduce you to Amy Heffernan, a canadian singer/songwriter! She began working on her 2nd album, Being Awesome, in early 2009 and now is available on iTunes! Listening to this album I couldn't stop thinking on artists like Avril Lavigne, Pink, Sheryl Crow, and many others! The record reminds me of something a grown up Avril would write about while on her earlier days of pure pop/rock! Amy's voice is truly radio-friendly as is the entire album! Being Awesome is the party track of the whole record and reminds me of those laid-back days where we all just want to have fun! :) However the album isn't a party record but more of a close look of one's journey throughout life! There's happy moments (like Being Awesome) and then we face the heartbreaks (Over Again) and the more bitter moments (Enemy). I particularly love the songs Over Again, I Do, Word, Without You and Enemy. I'm just a sucker for slow songs with meaningful lyrics!! It is really a very good album with strong lyrical content. It really give us a sense of what she's all about! :) The album also includes a cool cover of Lady Gaga's Just Dance! :) Definitely an artist to keep an eye on!
